This is an excillent Found Poem! I learned about Found poetry in high school and am just now getting back into it lol.. I need to find someone who's into it more so I can have them help me with it.. I'm like so uber rusty. But I definantly like this poem! Keep the great work up!

Definition of a kitten: A soft little ball o' fur with lawnmower sounds. =3

I never actually studied found poetry. I was just bored looking at the original document and busied my mind by underlining words to make a poem. To be honest, I was was in an outpatient program for teenagers who have substance abuse problems. The paper was about how to become an honest person because one of the symptoms of substance abuse is to lie in order to continue along your path to drugs and alcohol... I wrote that poem over 10 years ago when I was 15 or so.

I would love to help, I just don't think I can. I know the definition of found poetry is finding any words (wether in a book, on a billboard, lyrics to a song, newspaper, etc.) and rearrange them into a poem or delete (as in my case) or add words to make a poem.

P.S. Sorry it took so long to respond. I don't log on as much as I used to.

oh I see, its no biggie. Yeah, I know how the whole rehab thing is. I've been in the outpatient program. I was stupid in high school and got caught with some minor stuff (though they say it was serious -rolls eyes-) But I've been clean for over 5 yrs now. I went cold turkey the day I got caught and was the only non-addicted patient there lol. So I passed with flying colours, it was mostly me self-medicating. I was severely depressed in high school and didn't help with the crowd I hung out with. I learned how to have self control and to not let others influince me while I was in rehab as well as therapy. I'm an advocate for young kids, teens and young adults around my age. I'm actually trying to get into college to major in Art and Psychology to persue a career in Art Therapy and minor in Japanese and Spanish languages (my fall back career is a translator, y'know they make a crap load of money o.O).
